From 2000 to 2004 he participated in the scientific programme of Manolis Hatzigiakoumis \u201cMonuments of Ecclesiastical Music\u201d. He lived in Istanbul from 2004 to 2007, working as a chanter in the first choir of the Ecumenical Patriarchate next to Archon Protopsaltis Leonidas Asteris. He has released two albums (Motivasion 2014, Sedef 2017 &#8211; Kalan M\u00fczik) including his own compositions, which belong to the tradition of Ottoman music in terms of form, style and melodic-modal behaviour. His scientific interests are related with the compositional production in the field of Ecclesiastical and secular-urban music of the late-Ottoman period, as well as the idiomatic-oral dimension of the aforementioned genres. As a musician (lavta, saz, tanbur, singing) he has given numerous of concerts in Greece and abroad. He has published two books, as well as papers in scientific journals and has made presentations in musicological conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/intermusig.music.uoa.gr\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Chaldaeaki.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/intermusig.music.uoa.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Chaldaeaki.jpg 848w, http:\/\/intermusig.music.uoa.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Chaldaeaki-300x226.jpg 300w, http:\/\/intermusig.music.uoa.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Chaldaeaki-768x580.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evangelia Chaldaeaki<\/strong>\u00a0is a PhD candidate at the Department of Turkish and Modern Asian Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.). She acquired her bachelor degree from the same Department and has a master\u2019s degree (MA) in Folklore Studies from the Department of Philology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her master thesis \u039f \u039a. \u0391. \u03a8\u03ac\u03c7\u03bf\u03c2 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03b7 \u03c3\u03c5\u03bc\u03b2\u03bf\u03bb\u03ae \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u03c3\u03c4\u03b7\u03bd \u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03b3\u03c1\u03b1\u03c6\u03ae \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bc\u03b5\u03bb\u03ad\u03c4\u03b7 \u03b5\u03bb\u03bb\u03b7\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03ce\u03bd \u03b4\u03b7\u03bc\u03bf\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ce\u03bd \u03c4\u03c1\u03b1\u03b3\u03bf\u03c5\u03b4\u03b9\u03ce\u03bd was published from Edition Orpheus in 2018, and also granted with the Kaftantzoglio Award 2018. She has participated in research and educational programs, made presentations in conferences and has published various papers in scientific journals.
